Effects of different boron dosage applications on yield and yield components of triticale varities

Abstract (EN)
This research was conducted in Bursa Uludağ University, Research and Application Center of Agricultural Faculty to determine the effects of different boron doses (0, 0.15, 0.3, 0.45 and 0.6 kg B da-1) applications on Triticale (Karma-2000 and Tatlıcak) cultivars on yield and yield components in a two-factor random block design with three replications in the 2018-2019 growing season. In the study; plant height, spike length, number of spikelets per spike, number of grains per spike, grain weight per spike, grain yield, 1000 grain weight and hectoliter weight were investigated. At the end of the experiment, the effect of boron doses applied from the soil on the grain yield and yield characteristics of triticale cultivars (excluding grain weight per spike) was found significant. In the study, when the grain yield values were examined in terms of applied B doses, the highest grain yield was obtained from the application of 0.3 kg B da-1, followed by 0.15 kg B da-1 with 498.75 kg da-1 and 0.45 kg B da-1 with 487.45 kg. In terms of cultivar x B dose interaction, the highest grain yield values in terms of Karma -2000 cultivar were obtained from 0.3 kg B da-1 (567.10 kg da) and 0.15 kg B da-1 (534.10 kg da) doses, respectively. On the other hand, for Tatlıcak variety the highest grain yield values were determined at 0.3 kg B da-1 (527.26 kg da-1) and 0.45 kg B da-1 (512.23 kg da-1) doses.
