Abstract (EN)
In this project, in vitro dry matter (IVDMD), organiz matter digestibility (IVOMD), ME levels and rumen parameters of alfalfa hay with different levels of tymus leaf were added. For this purpose, 2, 4 and 6% of tymus leaves are added to the alfalfa hay and the daisy will be incubated for 48 hours. Rumen fluid samples will be taken at the beginning and end of incubation to determine rumen parameters. In this digestion period, in vitro digestion parameters will be determined. Methane gas is naturally produced as a result of fermentation of the nutrients consumed by livestock which is a participant of greenhouse gas emission which is gradually increasing in the world and in our country, thus both ecological risks and significant energy loss. In terms of meeting the demand for animal products and increasing animal production activity, the field of research for replacing the digestion parameters of nutrients with aromatic plants in favor of the animal is quite up-to-date. Therefore, it is thought that the results obtained from this master thesis may contribute to the field of animal nutrition. The use of alternative natural substances has gained priority as antibiotics used as growth stimulants in animal nutrition leave residues in livestock and increase the development of resistant bacteria. Due to the antimicrobial and antioxidant effects of the active substances contained in the thyme leaves contained in these substances, it is suggested that it plays an important role in rumen fermentation and digestion of nutrients. Therefore, the determination of the effect of the naturally grown tymus plant on the digestion and rumen parameters is also important in terms of knowing the activity of the active compounds in the plant.
