Abstract (EN)
In this study: The aim was to detect physical self-perception levels of soccer players from varied leagues, and determine the differences from the perspective of leagues. While the target population of the study was composed of female and male soccer players, who play in varied amateur leagues (Amateur League, Super League, Professional 3. 2. and 1. League, BAL) from Kocaeli and Istanbul, the sample group was composed of 100 female and 300 male soccer players, in total 400 people, who were chosen randomly from different soccer clubs. In the study, "Self Physical Detection Inventory", developed by Fox and whose adaptation to Turkey was done by Aşcı vd. (1995), was used. For the data's, which were acquired from the study, analysis, SPSS program was used. Descriptive statistical analyzes were made related to data. To test the hypotheses ANOVA test was applied. As the result of evaluation of data, it is found that; there is no meaningful connection, relating female soccer players' ages, the leagues that they play in, how long they have played soccer, their educational status to their self body-perception levels. But there is a meaningful connection, relating their heights, licence types, weights to their self body-perception levels. For male soccer players, no meaningful connection is determined, relating their licences, the leagues that they play in, how long they have played soccer to their self body-perception levels. Nevertheless, a meaningful connection is determined, relating their ages, heights, weights, educational status to their self body-perception levels. When examined by league, soccer players' self body-perception levels are; Super League ( =4,33), 1. League ( =4,21), 2. League ( =4.20), 3. League ( =4,16), BAL ( =4,10), amateur ( =4,01). This shows that, body perception level is higher amongst players in Super League. Thereby, the higher the league the player is in, the higher the body perception level is.
