Abstract (EN)

In this study, it was aimed to investigate the effects of biochar(BK) and NPK doses applied to soils with different properties on the development, mineral nutrition and some soil properties of lettuce and corn plants. 8 different soils provided by Karabük, Rize, Eskişehir, Konya, İzmir, Antalya, Burdur and Isparta were used. Almond shell harvest residues pyrolyzed at 400 degrees were used as biochar material and mixed into the soils at 0(BK0), 0.75(BK1) and 1(BK2) tons per decare. In addition, 300-200-200ppm(NPK1/1), 150-100-100ppm(NPK1/2) and control(NPK0) fertilizations were made to the soils, respectively. Lettuce was grown as the preliminary plant and corn was grown as the secondary plant in the experiment. When the lettuce trial results are examined, the lowest fresh and dry weight values in NPKxBK interaction were observed in Rize, Konya and Antalya soils under NPK0xBK0-BK1 conditions, in Karabük, Isparta, Burdur and İzmir soils under NPK0xBK1-BK2 conditions and in Eskişehir soil under NPK1/1xBK2 conditions. Increasing NPK doses increased lettuce yield values in all soils. When the average values are examined, while biochar applications negatively affected the development of lettuce grown in Isparta, Burdur and İzmir soils, BK1 dose had a positive effect on the development of lettuce grown in Karabük, Eskişehir and Konya soils. The soil where it was most effective was Rize soil and the highest dry weight value was obtained from BK2 dose. When the corn trial results are examined, the lowest fresh and dry weight values obtained in NPKxBK interaction were found in Rize, Eskişehir, Burdur, Antalya and İzmir provinces under NPK0xBK0 conditions. It was observed that increasing doses of NPK applications increased plant yield in most provinces. When the average values were examined, it was observed that increasing biochar doses generally had an increasing effect on fresh and dry weight values. The highest fresh and dry weight values in Rize, Konya, Isparta, Burdur, Antalya and İzmir soils were given by the BK2 dose. The highest values for Karabük and Eskişehir soils were obtained from the BK1 dose.
