The prominent purposes of the prophet stories in different surahs

The Holy Qur'an is a universal book which sent to all ages and humanity. It contains many subjects, in consequence of guide for us. Its most important characteristic is that it tells a lot with little speech. Every word and letter properly take place as required by the brevity. It is a miraculous book with every word and sentence that is chosen. For this faith, we wanted to examine the narrative purposes of the prophet stories which are told in our exalted book. Many stories about prophets and some non prophets are told in the Holy Qur'an. All of them have a certain purposes, so they are worth for examination. However, the events and prophesying stories that occurred in the period when it was revealed are also told. The content of our research are limited to only more than one mentioned prophet stories. We examined the ten surahs in which the telling of stories were the most intense from between hundred and fourteen surahs. Even though they looked like dispersed, we tried to propound how delicately and well the prophetic stories which are placed by establishing the context between verses. We have eloquently wanted to show the goals that the Qur'an has aimed in story telling with its unique style. When we look carefully at the stories that seem like scattered pearls in the sacred surah of the Qur'an, and it will be seen how each of them is meticulously placed. For example, the story of Moses is one of the most mentioned prophet stories. It is explained in different parts in many surahs. The story can be seen as constantly repeated, but when it is carefully examined, it will be seen that a different part of the story is given in every verse where it is told, and it is handled in a different style, and it is explained in terms of the intended purpose. In summary, this study was aimed to achieve an entirety by indicating for what purposes and how much of the prophet stories mentioned in the Holy Qur'an and what kind of style was used.
