Abstract (EN)

In this study which is prepared as a Master's thesis of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, the strength properties and hardness changes of aluminum with different magnesium and silicon levels were observed in different heat treatment periods. As a result of the mechanical tests applied to different alloys, it has been concluded that the using of 6082 alloy is less costly than 6060 and 6063 alloys when high strength is required, and energy costs are reduced by saving heat treatment time. Of the 1070 pure aluminum and 6063, 6060 and 6082 alloys with a heat treatment time of 12 hours, it was determined that the hardest material was 6082 alloy with 16 HW and some 6082 alloy samples did not break.
