Abstract (EN)

Feminist point of view is anticipated that it could provide a new perspective for explaining various forms of dominance related with consumption and the relevant culture over individual. This research is designed to gain a deep understanding regarding the interpretations and reactions of the feminist ideology and movement -or more importantly the feminist women as pioneering subjects of this perspective-, showing resistance to each form of domination, to the motherhood image created in the context of consumer culture, identity projects, marketplace culture and relevant ideologies. Thus, research is thought to be very important in terms of its illuminating potential on the intersections, conflicts, intertwining areas of feminist ideology and consumption culture in the context of a problematized context of motherhood. Taking its roots from consumer culture theory, this study tries to shed a light on concerns such as the relationship of feminist mothers with consumption, the reactions of feminist mothers to meanings that are formed in the context of consumer culture, and the meanings that are formed by them relavant to motherhood consumption.
