Abstract (EN)

In this study, bending and vibration analysis of a simply supported functionally graded porous sandwich beam was carried out. The surfaces of the beam were assumed to be made of functionally graded porous material, while the core was considered to be made of homogeneous material. Two different types of porous materials were used, and these porous materials are uniform and symmetrical. It is assumed that the material properties of functionally graded porous core and surface layers vary throughout the thickness according to the power law distribution. The equations of motion of the beam were obtained using Hamilton's Principle. The mixing rule was applied to functionally graded materials for two different types of porous sandwich beams. The results were obtained using closed-form solutions based on the Navier method. Numerical results were obtained by varying the porosity coefficient, the ratio length-to-thickness, the thickness ratios of the core and surface layers, and the volumetric change exponent. These results were compared with the literature and observed to be in agreement.
