Abstract (EN)

In this study, a PV system was designed, installed and performance tests were carried out to be used in the irrigation system. The daily water requirement of the establishment where the system was installed was determined as 35 m3 and the manometric height was determined as 40 mSS. The enterprise is located within the borders of Tekirdağ province at 41 ºC northern latitude. The average amount of radiation coming to the surface of the PV panel in July, August and September, when irrigation operations are carried out, was calculated as 4.98 kWh/m2.day. 10 PV panels with 280 W nominal power were used in the PV system, which was designed by using the solar data of the region where the irrigation facility is located. PV panels are connected in series with each other. In the measurements made after the PV panel system is installed; The average water amounts obtained in July, August and September were 35.99 m3/day, 32.13 m3/day and 27.11 m3/day, respectively. System capacity utilization rates were 102.8\%, 91.8\% and 77.5\% for the same months, respectively. As a result of the research, it has been determined that the performance of the PV panel system installed is at a sufficient level. It has been suggested that the use of solar energy in irrigation systems should be expanded due to the economic and environmental contributions.
