Abstract (EN)
The subject of this study is the emergence and formation of the centralization process in France between the 11th and 14th centuries. In this study, the Capet Dynasty Period, between the 987 and 1328, in France is discussed by dividing it into two periods in terms of the centralization process: The First Capetians Period, between 987 and 1180, can be described as the period in which the preparatory conditions for the centralization process were formed in France. However, the process of centralization has not yet emerged in this period. The Capetians Period, between 1180 and 1328, can be described as the period in which the centralization process emerged in France in terms of the administrative apparatus, administrative organization and administrative institutionalization process. The approaches of Stein Rokkan (1921 – 1979) and Maurice Hauriou (1856 – 1929) were chosen as the theoretical basis in order to explain the preparatory conditions of the centralization process and the emergence of the centralization process between the 11th and 14th centuries, which showed the transition process from the pre-modern period to the modern period in France. Rokkan's main variables (economic and cultural) and style of analysis (configuration of factors) are used to analyze the preparatory conditions for the centralization process in France between the 11th and 13th centuries. Hauriou's theory of institution is used to analyze the emergence of the centralization process in terms of administrative apparatus, administrative organization and administrative institutionalization in France between 13th and 14th centuries. The study is important in terms of both explaining the emergence and formation of the centralization process in France between the 11th and 14th centuries and determining the early dynamics of the distinctive features of the modern state. On the way to the formation of the modern state in France, the emergence of the centralization process is analyzed.
