Gayret journal: Index and texts

The Gayret Journal, the subject of my master thesis, belongs to the period of betwen Tanzimat and Servet-i Flinun. The journal woos issued form 1886 to 1887 in 33 volumes. The journal was issued by Menemenlizade Tahir, the chief author of the journal. It was also enriched by the writings of the notable men of arts of the period. The journal didn't give place to the literary polemics. However, it included translations, poems and stories form French literature. We, in our study, translated the writings in the journal into today's language after a brief introduction, we included ail of the writings without excluding any of them. we prepared an index according to the names of authors and titles of subjects, we are of the opinion that our study will be of use to the researchers of literature.
