The primary factors of kipchak Turkish in Gaziantep dialect

Kipchaks had an important place among Turkish tribes. They came together with different communities and exchanged culture, language and religion in the geographies they lived in. Although they lived in the vast lands of Central Asia until 1237, after this date the Kipchaks were affected by political factors, just like other Turkish tribes. Turkish tribes, affected by political moves, migrated from the lands they were in to different geographies. It is known that the Kipchaks, along with the Oghuz tribe, came and settled in this region during the migrations to Anatolia in the 11th century. There are different dialects in Anatolia today. The reason for this is that this region has received immigration since the 11th century. The tribes that came and settled in Anatolia brought with them different dialect characteristics. Among these tribes, the Kipchak tribe, which we also discussed in our study, has an important place. It should not be forgotten that the language is shaped within itself and differentiates and develops by carrying traces from the geography in which it is lived. Because language is a living entity. Just like a human, a language is born, lives and dies. Because of this vitality, it is possible to say that a word or a sound factor that lives in Central Asia also lives and develops in Anatolia. This is the case in Turkish, as in every language. The Kipchak tribe, which came from Central Asia, clustered in certain places in Anatolia, and these clusters have been able to preserve themselves even today. Classifications on Anatolian dialects are generally; they are grouped under three headings: Eastern Group dialects, Northeastern Group dialects and Western Group dialects. In our study, we will focus on the Gaziantep dialect, which is among the Western Group dialects. The phonetic factors of Kipchak Turkish in this dialect will be compared and given with examples.
