The effect of grills made of lama and cast material used in gas furnace and stoves on efficiency and emission

In gas ovens and stoves used for domestic cooking and industrial cooking, a grill is used on the top of the burners to ensure the accuracy of the position of the cooking utensils on the burner and to ensure easy cooking. When the cooking sector is examined, this grill raw material is produced from 2 different raw materials in terms of manufacturability, safety, cost and ease of use. These raw materials are lama steel and cast material. Grill design, raw material has a great impact on the emission of waste gases generated as a result of combustion and combustion efficiency. While the rate of gas cooker use in our country is 74%, the rate of gas cooker use in the world is approximately 42%. Considering these rates, it is seen that the environmental impact of the waste gases generated as a result of combustion and the heat released to nature is quite high. It is known that waste gases and waste heat released to nature have many negative environmental effects, especially global warming. In the world and in our country, there are many studies on energy efficiency and reducing the release of waste gases to nature. In line with these studies, we have experimentally demonstrated the change of waste heat and waste gases generated as a result of combustion according to the grate used and the effect of these raw materials in our study. During our study, the grill design was made in the NX program and the tests were carried out in the accredited gas laboratory of Bolu Arçelik Cooking Appliances plant according to the test instructions of EN30-1-1 standard. Minimum and maximum values for emission and efficiency values are specified in EN30-1-1 standard. The devices used during the tests were calibrated before the test and the compliance of the test equipment with the standard items was confirmed. It was determined that the personnel performing the test had a test qualification certificate.
