Abstract (EN)

In the present study, a new solid phase extraction (SPE) method was developed for the determination of trace amount of silver Ag(I) and vanadium V(IV) in foods and biological samples by using High-Resolution Continuum Source Flame Atomic Absorption Spectrometry (HR CS- FAAS ). In the study, a new activated carbon obtained from the vine shoots (ACVS) and Rhodococcus ruber biomass (RrBB) were used as adsorbents. The column technique has been applied in the seperation and enrichment process. In order to determine the most favorable conditions; the pH of the sample solution , the type and concentration of the recovery solution, the flow rate of the sample solution and the recovery solution, the volume of the sample solution, the effect of foreign ions on the yield of recovery of analyte ions, and adsorbent capacity was investigated. In the column containing ACVS, respectively for the Ag(I) and V(IV) the detection limits (LOD) 0.18 and 0.24 µg/L, the relative standard deviations (RSD %) 1.5 and 1.8, the enrichment factors 200 and 150, the adsorption capacities was determined to be 71.94 and 9.96 mg/g. In the study with RrBB, the recovering values of the V(IV) were not found in the accepted analytical intervals (100 ± 5%). Whereas for Ag(I) LOD 1.24 µg/L, RSD % 3.9, enrichment factor 200 and the adsorption capacity was determined to be 28.4 mg/g. The developed method has been successfully applied to a variety of foods and biological samples.
