Abstract (EN)

Objective: This study was conducted to examine the relationship between pregnancy reflux and sleep qualıty and prenatal attachment. Material and Methods: The research was analytically, cross-sectionally, case-control type, with 180 pregnant women (case: 90, control: 90) who applied to the Tunceli State Hospital Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic of Tunceli City Center between September 24, 2020 and June 24, 2021. Researchs data; "Reflux Symptom Index" to determine the presence of reflux in pregnant women, "Personal Information Form", "Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index" and "Prenatal Attachment Inventory" with has been collected. Data were analyzed with Predictive Analytics Software-IBM SPSS Version 22.0 (PASW 22.0). In the analysis of the data, used chi-square, t test and pearson correlation analysis. Results: In this study, the mean Pittsburgh Sleep Quality total index score of the case group (11.13±3.25) was found to be statistically significantly higher than the control group (7.02±2.54). In the study, the mean Prenatal Attachment Inventory score of the pregnants in the case group (37.33±11.20) was found to be statistically significantly lower than the pregnants in the control group (43.00±12.64). In addition, it was observed in the study that prenatal attachment levels decreased in parallel with the sleep quality levels of pregnant women in the case and control groups. Conclusion: In the study, it was concluded that the sleep quality and prenatal attachment levels of the pregnant women with reflux were lower than the pregnant women without reflux, and the prenatal attachment levels decreased in parallel with the sleep quality levels.
