Examination of Gelenbevîzâde Ahmed Tevfîk Efendi's work called Nebze-i İlmi Kalam

The Ottoman Empire has a history in which many works were written in terms of Islamic sciences. The works compiled in this manner provide important information about the branch of science and period in which they are discussed. In this study, we examined the work titled Nebze-i İlmi Kelam, written by Gelenbevîzâde Ahmed Tevfik Efendi upon the proposal of the Cemiyet-i Furkaniye, which was in the Ottoman scientific world. Not much study has been done on the work. It is a medium volume work in which views on general classical theological problems are shared. It generally consists of the views of the Ahl al-Sunnah understanding.
