The effects of the floor displacements with inclined elements added to the conventional framed systems

In this study, the effects of the inclined elements added to the conventional framed systems, especially the effects of the floor displacements occurring under the earthquake loads, have been investigated by taking a structure as a conventional frame system and oblique elements in two ways. The effects that occured in the structures under the effect of earthquake in reality have been examined on the shake table by models of the structures taken into consideration and the results of the analyses were evaluated by way of mathematical models were created in the ETABS program. This study mainly consists of five main sections. The introduction to the study included general information on topics and assessments. In the first chapter, the carrier systems of multi-storey structures have been examined. In this section, topics such as carrier system design, types of carrier systems and matters to be considered when selecting a carrier system are mentioned. In the second part, some of the factors affecting the selection of the carrier system and the parameters affecting the behavior of the structure in case of earthquake are discussed. In the third chapter, it is mentioned about the construction of the examined model and the stages of construction. In the fourth part of the study, the behaviors of the constructions which are modeled, on the shake table are examined and the results obtained are evaluated. In the fifth part of the study, models of the structures were created in the ETABS program, the analysis results were compared and irregularity checks are completed. Finally, in the final section the results of the exerted tests and program analyzes, were compared and evaluated.
