Abstract (EN)
Kinesioband, which is one of today's physical therapy methods; reduces pain and muscle spasm, promotes circulation and reduces edema. It also reduces drug use because it reduces pain. It helps the body's self-healing mechanism work. The aim of this thesis study is to compare the acute period effects of kinesiobant and sham kinesiobant application to the latent myofascial trigger point in the upper trapeze muscle in healthy young adults who do not define any musculoskeletal disorders. 30 volunteer participants (15 girls, 15 boys) were selected. Sociodemographic data form and Beck depression scale were applied. According to the MAS (myofascial pain syndrome) measurement criteria, 1 point was determined (marked with a pen suitable for the body) and the pain threshold was measured with a digital algometer (measured 3 times averaged). With the Block Randomization method, 15 people had kinesiobants and 15 people had sham kinesiobants. Active kinesiobant application was performed in the form of I along the muscle line on the upper trapeze by the method of facial facilitation. Sham kinesioband application was performed only by gluing the kinesioband without applying any method on the muscle. Volunteers were asked not to remove the kinesiobate for 24 hours. After 24 hours, kinesiobands were removed properly. The same conditions were met, and the measurement was made again at the marked point with a digital algometer. The results were noted. There were no significant differences between active kinesioband and sham kinesioband applications. There was a significant decrease in pain thresholds of active and sham applications. No significant differences were noted when the relationship between pain threshold and back depression was examined. Keywords: Kinesiobant, trigger point
