Abstract (EN)

The study aims to examine the relationship between fear of growth, depression, anxiety, stress and stress coping strategies in young adults. The sample of the study consists of 409 young adults. Participants were given the Fear of Growth Scale, Depression Anxiety Stress Scale, Stress Coping Scale and Socio Demographic Information Form to collect data related to the research. In the analysis of the data; descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation analyses, regression, t-test and ANOVA analyses were performed using Jamovi (v.2.5.3) program. Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficients of the scales were calculated using IBM SPSS Statistics (v.30.0.0.0) software. As a result of the analyses, a significant positive relationship was found between fear of growth and depression, anxiety and stress. It was found that fear of growth had a positive and significant relationship with avoidance, a negative and significant relationship with seeking social support, and no significant relationship with problem-oriented coping. The findings obtained within the scope of the study were discussed in the related literature and suggestions were made for future studies.
