Integration of the immigrants with the urban-An example of immigrants from Bulgaria to Bursa

In world history, there have been several immigration movements which effected communal living because of economic, cultural, political and environmental issues. On the basis of these individual, group or mass immigration there is a willingness of the people's living better life. Along with these immigration movements, cities have become humanlike and they have undergone changes influenced by the features of the people living in it. The individuals of the communities immigrated to cities, in the first place, lived in the same regions and it is undeniable that in these regions they interacted with the city and its inhabitants by carrying out their own customs and traditions. In this study, immigration, reasons of immigration, urbanization, urbans and the effects of immigration on the urbanization, with an example experienced in Turkey, are examined . The effects of immigrants, deported from Bulgaria to Bursa in 1980s, on urban adaptation and urbanization are evaluated in this study.
