Abstract (EN)

The concept of bid'at in exegesis refers to interpretations made without observing the rules of procedure that should be considered in the interpretation of the Qur'an. However, since some of these procedural rules are subjective principles, the characterization of bid'at is a subjective claim since it reflects one's own opinion and understanding of religion. The entry of this concept into the science of tafsir was through the theological sects that were formed around the problems that emerged as a result of the fitna events in the period of Hazrat Uthman and the subsequent battles of Jamal and Saffin. Because these sects, which were formed in this period and later institutionalized, engaged in the activity of interpreting certain verses in line with the principles of the sect in order to support their views. On the other hand, some news from the Ahl al-Bayt, which entered the books of tafsir for both internal and external reasons, also constitute the source of the interpretations that are considered bid'at in tafsir. Gumārī also characterizes these interpretations as bid'ah, which are made without following the rules of the methodology, whether due to sectarian prejudice, the transmission of news called İsrâiliyyât, or any other reason, and thinks that tafsīr should be purified from these mistakes. However, at some points, al-Gumārī also neglected some procedural rules in his characterizations of bid'ah. Key words: Tafsir, Bid'at, Gumari, Zamakhshari, Sharif Murtazâ, Sect.
