Abstract (EN)
This doctoral thesis examines the role of the Qur'an in the construction of everyday life in light of classical and contemporary exegeses. The main focus of the study is to analyse the effects of the Qur'an's style, which guides social relations, on individuals and society. This study examines how the unchanging structure of the Qur'an adapts to the ever-changing individual and society and how it guides daily life practices. The aim of the study is to reveal, from a sociological perspective, how the Qur'an guides human-God, human-human, and human-nature interactions, and the role of language and style in this guidance. The hypothesis is that the Qur'an's efforts to regulate humans, society, and nature may also influence social relations and behavioural patterns in modern society. The methods and techniques used in the study were structured based on indirect observation and macro methods. While examining the verses addressing the Qur'an's guidance, classical and modern interpretations were compared, and a conceptual analysis was conducted. In terms of scope and limitations, the study focused on the impact of the Qur'an on daily life, human relations, and social structures, relying on exegetical sources from a specific period and linguistic proficiency. It only addressed daily life practices in the context of human relations with Allah, other humans, and nature. Although our study is similar to studies conducted in the Arab world under the title Menhecü'l-Kur'ân, this thesis offers a unique perspective in terms of examining the impact of the Qur'an on daily life. Among the most important findings of the study is the emphasis that the language used by the Qur'an in regulating daily life is not merely a set of commands and prohibitions, but rather a style that appeals to the mind and heart of the individual, guiding their emotions and thoughts. It has been determined that the strategic objectives of the Qur'an in relation to daily life are to strengthen the will of individuals, provide social dynamism, create a sense of belonging, and reinforce social trust. Among the topics to be studied in the future, it is suggested that the potential impact of the Qur'an on social, economic, legal, and environmental relations in the modern age, as well as the role that the Qur'an's moral guidance could play, should be explored.
