Abstract (EN)

In the scope of this thesis, enzymatic and non enzymatic sensors based on multiwalled carbon nanotube (MWCNT), zinc oxide nanoparticle (ZnONP) and Prussian blue (PB) or horseradish peroxidase (HRP) enzyme modified glassy carbon electrodes (GCE were prepared for the determination of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). Optimum amount of modification materials were determined and optimization of electrode surface composition was performed. Electrochemical behaviors of the fabricated electrodes were investigated by using cyclic voltammetry method and chronoamperometry method was used for the optimization studies and to determine the performance factors. The usability of electrodes for the determination of H2O2 in real samples was also investigated. In addition, 1-Butyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate used as the ionic liquid (IL) was added to the composition of the enzymatic and non-enzymatic electrodes and its effect on electrode performance was studied. In this study, it was concluded that ionic liquid significantly increased the performance of both enzymatic and non-enzymatic electrodes. Among the proposed electrodes best performance for H2O2 was obtained with IL/HRP-MWCNT-ZnONP/GCE and a linear working range of 9,99×10-8‒7,55×10-4 M and sensitivity of 17,53 μA/Mm was obtained for this electrode.
