Methods of fighting addiction in hadiths

In this study, the methods employed by Prophet Muhammad in dealing with dependent individuals are examined, addressing questions such as: What is addiction? What are the types of addiction? Which types of addiction are mentioned in the hadiths? What methods did Prophet Muhammad employ in combating addiction? Are there similarities between these methods and contemporary efforts to combat addiction? Within this framework, the definition, types, and historical context of addiction are discussed, along with the types of addiction mentioned in the hadiths and Prophet Muhammad's approach to individuals struggling with addiction. The study also explores the connections between the methods applied by Prophet Muhammad over fourteen centuries ago and modern treatment approaches. To achieve this, authentic hadith sources, commentaries, contemporary psychology and medical treatment literature, journals, and articles were consulted. The study delves into how the hadiths have been interpreted by scholars throughout history and how they should be understood in light of contemporary knowledge.
