Abstract (EN)

Hâfız Hıyâvî is one of the distinctive voices of contemporary Iranian short fiction. The balance he establishes between local identity and universal narration has made him one of the most notable Iranian writers of the 2000s. Through his unique language, plain style, and narrative perspective grounded in a child's viewpoint, Hıyâvî is regarded in modern Iranian literature as "the universal voice of local narrative." Hâfız Hıyâvî's most significant work is the short story collection God Bless Your Beautiful Mother, published in 2008. The book consists of eight short stories that portray the seemingly ordinary yet deeply meaningful objects and events of Iranian provincial life through a child's perspective. God Bless Your Beautiful Mother had not previously been translated into Turkish. In this study, the work has been translated into Turkish for the first time. Subsequently, each short story was examined on three analytical levels: Literary Analysis, Detailed Analysis, and the Cultural and Social Layer. The aim of this study is to introduce Hâfız Hıyâvî's God Bless Your Beautiful Mother to Turkish literature and to contribute to the field by analyzing the work within the context of Iranian and world literature.
