Studies on zāhir al-riwāyah works in Hanafī madhab (Classification and evaluation)

There have been many studies throughout history on the works of ẓahir al-riwaya, which are the basis and first texts of Hanafi legal doctrine in terms of knowledge and resource value. Concise, arrangement, verse etc., especially the commentary studies created in different genres have an important place in the formation of the classics of the madhhab. The vast majority of the studies determined as a result of the researches were carried out by the Ma wara'un-nahr ulama. At the same time, many works that are expressed as the classics of the madhhab were also copyrighted in a period of 3 centuries when this region's ulema was active. After this period, many scientific and cultural heritages started to move to Indian and Anatolian geography. It has been determined that very little work has been done on ẓahir al-riwaya during the Ottoman Empire, which ruled in Anatolia. The reason for this is that, due to the adoption of a legal understanding built on the sources of Ma wara'un-nahr in the Ottoman period, the focus was on the copyright of the commentary and annotation type works on the mentioned sources.
