Hāfız from Harezm's Divan of the conceptual dictionary

Dictionaries have an important place in terms of showing language richness and cultural ties. There are also conceptual dictionaries based on the titles that are prepared and associated differently from the classical order in dictionary classifications. These; It has a special place in terms of containing many elements related to the language, culture, life and society of the period. The only known work of Hārezmli Hāfız is Divan. The preparation of the Divan in the form of a conceptual dictionary has been found useful in terms of shedding light on the period. Hārezmli Hāfız Divan is a work that can be a source for 15th century Chagatay Turkish with its voluminous and rich word count. In order to illuminate the period about which there are limited studies and to contribute to the literature, the study of Recep Toparlı's Hārezmli Hāfız Divan was taken as a basis and transferred to the computer environment. After the index was arranged to include nouns and nouns, the meanings of the words were compiled and classified. A conceptual dictionary was obtained from the words placed in the main title and related sub-title contents. The creation of the conceptual dictionary on the axis of thirty main titles and necessary sub-titles showed the richness of the work. The most intense topic is the section that covers the parts based on human and human relations. It has been understood that the poet, who has a lover and social understanding of art, uses words that indicate comparison and measure intensively. The use of many words meaning beloved is one of the distinctive features of the work. In addition, the frequency of religious items and proper names in the dictionary is also striking. The study has the feature of being the first conceptual dictionary that deals with the Divan of Hārezmli Hāfız. It is thought that our study will mediate the revealing of data on many fields of the period such as literature, politics, gastronomy, judiciary, medicine and botany and will guide other studies.
