Abstract (EN)

This research aims to reveal the lifelong learning profiles and perspectives of individuals aged 18 and over living in Efeler district of Aydın province. Considering the increasing importance given to lifelong learning in our country, serious studies are continuing by setting targets to increase participation rates in non-formal education. In this context, the research is expected to contribute to the literature on lifelong learning and educational management. A descriptive scanning model, one of the scanning models, was used in the research. In order to collect the necessary data for the research, the "Lifelong Learning Profile Survey" developed by the researcher and his consultant was applied to the participants. Data were collected from participants through individual visits. The population of the research consists of individuals aged 18 and over residing in Efeler district of Aydın province. An attempt was made to collect data from 750 participants using a simple random sampling technique, but invalid survey forms that were considered excessive and outliers were removed and the data of 629 participants in the population were recorded as statistical analysis values. The collected data were analyzed using the SPSS program and subjected to the chi-square test. The findings are presented in line with the determined sub-problems. According to the findings, it is seen that the participation rates of the individuals participating in the research in lifelong learning activities are low. It is seen that demographic variables such as gender and employment status do not make a significant difference in terms of participating in lifelong learning activities. The study concluded that there is a significant difference between the variables of age, education level, marital status, monthly income, place of birth, profession, knowledge of the concept of lifelong learning and participation in lifelong learning activities. According to the results of the research, suggestions were made to the researcher and the practitioner, taking into account the participants' participation in lifelong learning activities and their wishes. KEY WORDS: Lifelong learning profile, Lifelong learning tendencies, Lifelong learning, descriptive scanning method, lifelong learning activities.
