Abstract (EN)
The purpose of the study is to solve the problem of determining the best sub-contractor among those which sew the orders of the worldwide known brands in the ready-made clothing sector through multi criteria decision making (MCDM) models. Hence four models are utilised for the determination of best sub-contractor. The decision-making criteria are determined through utilising the preliminary interviews with three suppliers in the sector and the literature review on selection of supplier. By this means original criteria are brought to the literature as the criteria for supplier choice. As the criteria of decision problem have hierarchic structure the AHP and TOPSIS models are utilised. Besides, through the literature review it is also seen that AHP and TOPSIS models are commonly utilised. Fuzzy AHP (FAHP) and Fuzzy TOPSIS (FTOPSIS) models are used in the study for those criteria that cannot be expressed numerically and that rely on indefinite judgement. The use of fuzzy models for the selection of sub-contractor makes a contribution to the literature. In the decision problem there are 6 main-criteria, 20 sub-criteria and 4 alternatives. The models are solved by entering data and formulas to Microsoft Office Excel, and the best sub-contractor grading is obtained. While AHP model gives weight to the criteria, compared to the TOPSIS model, it is influenced by extreme values more. As the FAHP model gives zero weight to the four of six criteria in the hierarchy, it is found inappropriate for the decision problem in the study. TOPSIS and FAHS modals chose the alternative A. AHP and FTOPSIS models chose the alternative C.Keywords: Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM), AHP, TOPSIS, Fuzzy AHP, Fuzzy TOPSIS, Selection of Supplier, Sub Contractor, Ready-Made Clothing Sector.
