Abstract (EN)
Today, medical science continuously enables the development of new and diverse methods for the treatment of various diseases. In order to reduce, manage, and ultimately eliminate health conditions that negatively affect individuals' quality of life and daily living standards, various therapeutic approaches have been developed in line with scientific and technological advancements. One of these approaches, electrotherapy, is widely used, particularly in neurological rehabilitation processes. In this thesis, the definition, application areas, and effectiveness of electrotherapy were examined, and the types of currents used in electrotherapy were detailed. Specifically, the effects of Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES)andFunctional Electrical Stimulation (FES) currents on the daily living activities of hemiplegic patients were investigated. The obtained data were analyzed using artificial intelligence algorithms to scientifically determine which of the two currents provides a more effective therapeutic approach. The findings of this study contribute to the evaluation of the efficacy of electrotherapy applications and the development of treatment protocols. KEYWORDS: NMES, FES, Artificial İntelligence, Hemipleji, SF-36
