Abstract (EN)

In our study; We aimed to increase the cognitive skills and the functionality of individuals such as gait and balance in stroke patients with dual-task training. 29 stroke patients were included in the study. Trail Making Test to evaluate cognitive functions before and after the study, speech test while walking as a dual-task mobility test in gait analysis devices with cognitive work, berg balance scale to evaluate balance and determine the risk of falling, beck depression to determine mood levels scale, 10 meters walking test, cadence and stride length assessment were used to evaluate walking, and Barthel activities of daily living (ADL) scale were used to evaluate activities of daily living. The cases were divided into 2 different groups as the experimental group and the control group. Conventional physiotherapy and rehabilitation program was applied to the patients in the control group, and dual-task training was applied to the patients in the experimental group, 3 days a week for 4 weeks. All evaluations were repeated after treatment. In our study, significant improvements were observed in cognitive skills and functionality in both groups (p<0.05), but it was not found to be superior to each other (p>0.05).
