Aim: The aim of this study was to determine the effect of hazard and risk management of nurses before and after Covid- 19 on performance evaluation. Material and Method: The study consists of two phases, the first of which being descriptive and the second being single group pre-post designed. Thesecond phase of the study has been conducted during the Covid-19 pandemic. The sample of the study consisted of 377 nurses who agreed to participate in the study in the first stage and 201 nurses in the second stage. The data of the research was collected via Information Form, Hazard and Risk Identification Form, and Employee Perfomance Scale (EPS) Form. In the second phase of the study, tranining has been provided with instruction cards called "Metods of protection against hazards and risks" regarding potential middle and high level danger and risks existing after pre-test. The post test was conducted two weeks after the training. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, Mann Whitne U Test, Kruskall Wallis Test and Spearman Correlation Test were applied. Results: Age means of nurses' 38.36±7.63 years, it was found that most of them females (91.0%), married (76.1%), and had a bachelor's degree (63.4%). It has been found that nurses tend to define stress related hazards as high level, while defining other risks as middle, among them are exposure to noise, violence, cleaning chemicals and disinfectants, diseases contaminated via blood and bodily fluids, penetrating injury, lifting and moving patients, inappropriate and prolonged ergonomic hazards. Post test EPS average score has been found to be 3.92±0.55. Besides, a weak corrolation has been established between level risks prior to and following training in Covid-19 pandemic. Conclusion: It was determined that hazard and risk management training had a positive effect on the performance of employees. Key Words: Nurse, hazard, risk, Covid-19, employee performance.
