Abstract (EN)

This research was conducted to determine the effect of nurses' quality of work life on job satisfaction. The descriptive and cross-sectional study was conducted between December 2020 and January 2023 with a total of 625 nurses working in three hospitals affiliated to the Ministry of Health in Şanlıurfa city center and a university hospital in the city center. The data of the study were collected with the introductory information collection form, the nurse job satisfaction scale and the nursing job quality of life scale. Mean, standard deviation, percentage, t-test, ANOVA test, Tukey test, linear regression analysis were used to evaluate the data. Nursing work life quality scale total score average of the nurses participating in the study (96.38±20.69) was below the average; It was determined that the total mean score of the nurse job satisfaction scale (2.99±0.66) was moderate. It was found that the total score averages of the nursing work life quality and nurse job satisfaction scales of single nurses, nurses who graduated from undergraduate education, 40 hours of work per week, who have a career goal in the institution, who rate their work life quality and job satisfaction perceptions of five points or more, were higher. . While the difference between years of work, working status and the nursing work life quality scale was not statistically significant, the total mean score of the nurse job satisfaction scale was found to be higher for contracted nurses working between 6 months and 5 years. Nursing work life quality and nurse job satisfaction scale mean scores of nurses working in State Hospital and University Hospital were found to be higher than other hospitals. There was a statistically significant positive correlation between the total score of the nursing work life quality scale and the mean score of all sub-dimensions, and the total score of the nurse job satisfaction scale and the mean score of all sub-dimensions (r= 0.770); It has been determined that as the quality of work life of nurses increases, job satisfaction also increases. It can be suggested that managers should take initiatives to increase the quality of work life and job satisfaction levels of nurses. Keywords:Nursing, work life quality, job satisfaction
