Abstract (EN)
Aim: The present study aspires to explore the effect of nurses' innovation behaviors on organizational creativity. Materials and Methods: The study was a descriptive and cross-sectional type. Research sample constitutes of voluntary participants who are working as a nurse in Manisa Merkez Efendi State Hospital and Turgutlu State Hospital between September and November 2021 (n=510). Research data were obtained by using the 'Nurse Introduction Form', 'Individual Innovation Scale' and 'Organizational Creativity Scale'. The SPSS 15.0 software package will be used to display the results. In the analysis of the data, descriptive statistics and number percent distribution were applied to define demographic characteristics. The conformity of the data to the normal distribution was checked with the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test of normality. Since the data did not show normal distribution, Mann Whitney U, Kruskal Wallis test and Spearman correlation analysis test was used while analyzing the data. Additionally, regression analysis was not carried out as the data did not conform to the normal distribution. Results: The mean age of the nurses included in the study was determined as 33.39±7.81 years. The mean score of the nurses' individual innovativeness scale is 64.21±8.87. The nurses' individual innovativeness scale score was found below the average. In terms of the individual innovativeness category, 37.5% of the nurses were found to be in the skeptic category. It has been determined that the nurses' individual innovative characteristics affect their attitudes, such as the institution, age, gender, authority in the hospital, education level, working time in the institution and profession in total, choosing and loving the profession willingly, and being supported by their colleagues while doing the profession (p<0.05). The mean organizational creativity scale of nurses was found to be moderate (2.95±0.59). When the relationship between nurses' individual innovativeness characteristics and organizational creativity levels was examined, it was determined that there were positive, weak and statistically significant relationships between individual innovativeness and organizational creativity levels. Conclusion: In research, it was determined that there were positive, weak and significant relationships between nurses' individual innovativeness and organizational creativity. In order to increase innovative behaviors in nursing, it is recommended to provide education programs and management support related to innovation. Key Words: Innovation, Creativity, Organizational Creativity, Innovation in Nursing.
