Abstract (EN)

The concept of human dignity forms the basis of the nursing profession. However, since the concept of honor is an abstract, multidimensional concept, its visibility and measurability is almost impossible. It is very difficult to concretely reveal the nursing roles and functions for the protection of patient dignity in nursing practices. This situation also complicates the effective handling of the concept of honor in nursing education programs and causes it to be discussed only as theoretical knowledge; Although the protection of human and patient dignity is an essential element of the affective and ethical aspects of nursing, it makes it difficult to transfer this understanding and approach to practice. With this descriptive study, it was aimed to determine the perceptions of nursing students about human dignity as a result of concrete data. After the approval of the ethics committee and administrative permissions, the research was planned to be conducted through face-to-face questionnaires with the students enrolled in the Nursing Undergraduate Programs of State and Foundation Universities in Ankara, and the data to be obtained would be analyzed with descriptive statistical methods.
