Abstract (EN)
Objective:. Preeclampsia is one of the leading causes of maternofatal morbidity and mortality. In recent years, seasonal changes in the prevalance of preeclampsia is noteworthy. Therefore, we analyzed effect of seasonal variations on the prevalance of hypertansive pregnancies. Materials and Methods : 578 patients ,that had hospitalized in Dicle University School of Medicine Obstetrics Department between the time period 01/01/2013-31/12/2013 beacuse of hypertansive pregnancy ,were retrospectively analyzed. 480 patients who had diagnosed as primary hypertension, mild preeclampsia, Severe preeklempsi, eclampsia, HELLP, superemposed preeclampsia included at the study. We investigated the relation between seasons and prevalance of diseases in monthly periods. Results: It has been seen that in hypertansive pregnancy, seasonal distribution is at the most during winter with 147 patients (%30,6), at the least with 88 patients (%18,3) during summer time; in the second frequency the period when the patient comes, is with 139 patients (%29) during spring, the third frequency is with 106 patients (%22,1) during autumn. Conclusion: In our study hypertansive pregnancy has significant differences in seasonal distributions. The reason why conflicting results were found in literature regarding the effect of seasonal effect over preeclampsia prelavance is geographical and seasonal differences and also the conducted studies are mostly at one center originated. On the other hand, datas concerning heavy preeklampsi are less; therefore it is required more centered and large scale studies in the world.
