Abstract (EN)

As the use of limited resources, human resources and the efficiency of employees have important role to play in the success of private sectors, one of the issues that comes to the fore is employees' job involvement. However, the behaviour of job involvement has received little attention from researchers in recent years. The studies in relation to job involvement to date have partly addressed the importance of job involvement for private sectors and the factors impinging on this issue. In the present study, the role of servant leadership, which has a direct influence upon job involvement, as well as the mediator role of trust in leader have been investigated. To this end, a questionnaire was administered to managers (N=1180) of an Istanbul-based holding operating in a variety of sectors. The data gathered was subjected to statistical analysis. The findings of this study suggest that servant leadership has a positive effect on the mediator role of trust in leader and job involvement and that both servant leadership and trust in leader have positive and meaningful effects on job involvement. Key Words: Leader, Servant Leadership, Trust, Trust in Leader, Job Involvement.
