Teacher selection and appointment of Prophet Mohammad

In this study, the educational processes, personal and educational characteristics of Musab Umeyr, Muaz Cebel, Abdullah Mehsud, Ubey Kâb and Aisha, who were chosen as teachers by the Prophet among the companions and appointed to different cities, were tried to be revealed. In our constantly changing and developing world, it is not possible to express exactly the personality traits that a teacher should have. However, the characteristics that a teacher should have, ideal teacher characteristics or effective teacher characteristics are similar in many ways. In this study, in the light of the information in the sources about Musab Umeyr, Muaz Cebel, Abdullah Mesud, Übey Kâb, and Aisha Ebubekir, who were among the teacher companions chosen by the Prophet, it was tried to reveal which characteristics of the people the Prophet chose as teachers. The narrations about what kind of process the companions in question went through to reach these characteristics were examined and attempts were made to reach the sources of strata. As a result of the study, it was concluded that the Prophet had superior intelligence and reasoning power, was able to use time effectively, was open to innovations, tolerant and harmonious, dedicated, self-sacrificing, experienced, hard-working, had a strong oratory, was forward-thinking, kind and gentle-tempered, patient, courageous and combative. It was concluded that he recommended and appointed determined people as teachers.
