Ibn Taymiyya's hadith critisizm

Ibn Taymiyya, was a great scholar both at fiqh, at tafsir, at Beliefs, at philosophy, at theology and at hadith. But studies about hadith which he owned is lacking compared with studies about his other aspects. By this work İntended to provide information about his accumulation in the hadith, and the method he followed in the review and evaluation of hadith, the rules and principles he adopted in the prove that the narrative is true and the techniques and methods he followed. This study consists of one entrance, two main sections and a conclusion. İn the entrance section information is given about geographical environment, political, social, scientific and intellectual status of century which Ibn Taymiyya lived in. İn the one section information is given about his life, teachers, students, works, ideas, thoughts and his scientific personality. In the second part, which is the main subject of the thesis, extensive information is given by comparing with examples about his method of hadith and sunnah information is given about the principles which he applied, guidelines and principles which he used and the criteria which he adopted.
