Investigation of vertical garden in the interior a sample of İstanbul and its envi̇roment

As a result of changing conditions in the world, population is growing up in the cities -and accordingly, it is subject to change structures and urban fiction. Due to the fact, People who lives in the cities are compelled; longing for nature increase. Architects, landscape architects, botanists and urban planers deviced various solution for they could respond this needs of the people. Vertical garden is the most important sample in these solution. Verticle gardens respond functional requirements such as; prevention of heat lossing, increasing the percentage of oxygen, poisonous gas in the air – dust- dirt absorbing. Thanks to their aesthetic views bring a different architectural size. At the present time; vertical garden which is increasing more and more, started to be an important component for interior design. Aim of this study try to investigate system of vertical garden and to determine plant species richnes, and determine social-psychological effects on the people, to determine vertical garden how contribute life quality. Within this study; İstanbul and its enviroment was observed about interiror vertical garden. Used system in interiror vertical garden and species of plant was determined. Within research, questionnaire are made to people, landscape company which is set up vertical garden and company which is owner. Questionnaire put forth visual evaluation of people against floral composition in the interior. Questionnaire which was made landscape and owner, tried to determine supply- demand for vertical garden in the interior desing. As a result; visial potential of interior vertical garden prefer not only design conceptual reasons but also functional reasons. It is tought that vertical garden which contribute green bulding and sustainable landscape will increase the coming years.
