Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study, which examines digital transformation perceptions, technological unemployment anxiety and the relationship between generations, is to determine how the perceptions of digital transformation and technological unemployment anxiety levels of administrative employees working at Selçuk University differ between generations X and Y. The sample of the study consists of 384 administrative employees working at Selçuk University. Independent Samples T-Test was applied in order to determine the differences and similarities between Generations X and Y in terms of the specified variables. Then, correlation analysis was performed to determine the direction and strength of the relationship between the variables. The interaction between the variables was examined with regression analysis. As a result of the study, it was concluded that Generation Y participants attach importance to their career development in digital transformation compared to Generation X participants, and that Generation X participants' concerns about lack of technical skills were higher than Generation Y ones. The effect on all participants' perceptions of digital transformation and their levels of technological unemployment anxiety was found to be negative and significant. The sub-dimension of the "Contribution to Personal Development" dimension of the digital transformation perspective scale of Generation Y participants was found to have a negative and significant effect on the sub-dimensions of the Technological Unemployment Anxiety scale (Lack of Technical Skills, Incremental Technological Improvements, Technological Disruptions). Keywords; Digitalization, Digital Transformation, Unemployment, Technological Unemployment, Generation X, Generation Y
