Abstract (EN)

Although literary assemblies or literary circles are very important within the scope of Ottoman Literature research, they are also a neglected field of study. When evaluating a literary production, it cannot be considered independently of its socio-economic and cultural conditions. However, the perception that our classical poetry was disconnected from the public, which developed for a period of time, delayed even thinking about it. However, poet assemblies, which are the mediums where divan poetry is produced, not only exist in poetry with many elements, but are also worth examining in terms of creating a context for the ode, the most popular verse form in Ottoman literature. However, parliamentary environments are not only the places where poetry emerges, but also the formations that enable the circulation of this literary production. The aim of this study is to examine the influence of Ottoman poet assemblies on literature by focusing on their formation, development and elements from the beginning to the end of the 16th century. Based on the data obtained from the sources, the assemblies that came together physically, mostly known to their owners, venues and some of the participants, were identified and discussed with their socio-cultural aspects, and an attempt was made to show the map of poets in the said period in question.
