Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, the life of the Italian economist Piero Sraffa, his criticism against Alfred Marshall, one of the best work of his which is Production of Commodities by Means of Commodities and also old and new Cambridge approach have examined. The study have consist of three parts. In the first part, life of Piero Sraffa and his criticism against Alfred Marshall have examined. The second part is about analyzing of Production of Commodities by Means of Commodities which is one of the best work of Piero Sraffa. The third part is about new Cambrige approach. Piero Sraffa, who has struck the history of economic thought, is an economist who has drawn attention to his life as well as his work. In this study Piero Sraffa's compulsory immigration to England due to the rapid rise of fascism in Italy, to train in Cambridge, to establish friendships there and to make friends with Antonio Gramsci who is arrested by the fascist administration and Piero Sraffa's fight for Antonio Gramsci's freedom and needs will find a important place.
