Comparision of the field of intelligence and academic success of third,forth and fifth grade primary students according to multiple intelligence theory

Since old times, researches on brain and human mind have been carried out. The functions of human mind have not been discovered completely, and there are researches regarding the subject at present.Intelligence is an abstract concept. For this reason, many philosophers and scientists have put forward ideas in order to define and outline it. Intelligence is the capacity of creating a product which is valuable for one or more than one cultures, the ability of finding effective and productive solutions for he problems which are encountered in real life, the skill of discovering new and sophisticated problems which need to be solved. Until quite recently, it was thought that human intelligence was obtained with birth, lasted for life and was impossible to be improved. According to multiple intelligence theory, it is believed that human intelligence depends on the horizon a person has.There are multiple intelligence applications in our national education system. In this study, the success of students in school lessons according to multiple intelligence theory has been examined.Key Words: Multiple intelligence, student, education, success
