Researching the relationship between the school climate and the bullying tendancy among the 7th and 8th grade students in primary schools

This thesis has been prepared to study the relationship between the extortion tendencies of Primary School 7th and 8th Grade students and their perception of the school climate. Comprehensive Assessment of School Environment ?CASE? and Extortion Bullying Behavior Tendency Scale ?BBTS? has been used in this thesis. These scales have been applied to the students of 10 schools in the Kadıköy District in Istanbul City. In this study, teacher-student relationship, Administration, behavioral assessment of the students, relationships between the students, parents-society and school relationships, and the relationship between safety and order being the bottom aspects of the CASE scale. Similarly, the relation between physical bullying, verbal bullying, entertaining bullying as well as the emotional bullying and the same demographic variables of the students has been studied. Later, the relationship between the bullying tendencies and school climate perceptions of the participating students has been studied. As a result of this research, one can argue that there is a relationship between the bullying tendencies of the student and the school climate.
