The effect of education process over the attitudes regarding universal values aimed to acquire to students in citizenship and the human rights education lesson studied at seventh grades of primary education

The lesson of ?Citizenship and Human Rights Education? is taught in 7th and 8thgrades of primary school. In the content of this lesson the issues take place such as theplace of the human in the world, the consciousness of being a human, human rights, therequirements of being a citizen, democracy, universal principles, universal values,adminisrtation methods and international documents.In this lesson activities are done during the education process to teach theattitudes relating to universal values. A five-point Likert type scale composing of 41articles (the scale of students attitudes regarding universal values) is developed todetermine the effect of the education process in forming the attitudes concerninguniversal values. This scale was applied to the forty students from 7th grade of BaskilBoarding School in the beginning and ending of the education process. As toculmination of the analyse, KMO ( Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin) value is 819; and Barlett testresult is 5311,891. Considering the results it is possible to say that the scale is valid andreliable.During the education process students may show positive and negative attitudes.The variables that may have effects over the attitudes of the students have beenconsidered in the evaluation step and the emerging results have been stated in detail inthe form of tables. As to the results of the search it is obvious that the education processis effective over the attitudes regarding universal values.The scale being tried to develope ?the students?attitude scale relating touniversal values? can be applied at the second step of Primary Education.Key Words: Universal Values, Citizenship Knowledge, Education Process
