5th grade primary school students' fear of mathematic

The purpose of this study is to determine the causes of mathematic fear of 5th grade primary school students and whether some variables such as the gender, school area and another support except the school affect their fear of mathematic.For the study, 250 information forms were collected randomly from the 5th grade primary school students in Esme which is a district in Usak. A survey including 30 questions was prepared by the researcher to determine the fear of mathematic and causes about this fear. This survey was applied to the 18 students in 5th grade degree in Üç Eylül Primary School in Esme.After gathering the data, reliability statistics and factor analyze were used. After the component analysis according to the dimensions, means were calculated and independent sample T-test was used. In the direction of the findings, it was suggested that teachers, students and parent should gain awareness about the fear of mathematic and struggle with this fear.
