Job satisfaction level of elementary school teacher

Job satisfaction, as a positive psychology term and one of the mostly examined concepts in organizational behavior literature, has been subjects for several studies. The reason of the increased interest on studying job satisfaction is that organization and the person highly benefits from it and job satisfaction causes desired outcomes both for the individual and the organization.The aim of the study is to find out the differences between the teachers who work at public elemantary schools and private elemantary schools in the Anatolian side of İstanbul. And also examine the relationships between job satisfaction and demografics.In the study, job satisfaction is measured with two factors. The results of the study show that there are differences between the teachers? job satisfaction. Teachers who work in public schools experience more job satisfaction than teachers who work in public schools. And also it is found in the study that there are no demographic relationships with the job satisfaction.
