The view of the students and the teachers about cheating in the second level of the primary education and secondary education

The aim of this research which is about the the view of the students and the teachers about cheating in the second level of the primary education and secondary education is to determine the ideas of the teachers and the students about cheating that decreases the quality of education and the ideas of the students about cheating. In the research, a survey consisting 16 articles and 47 criterion to present to the students and for he teachers a survey consisting 12 articles were prepared. This survey and their scales have been analis through descriptive approach.Population of the research includes totally 2660 students (6. ,7. ,8 grades) who have education in the second level of the primary education in the town Silifke, the province Mersin in 2005-2006 education year and 283 teachers who work in this level and 2661 students having education in the secondary school in the town Silifke, the province Mersin in 2005-2006 academic year(9.,10.,11. grades) and 151 teachers who work here.The sample comprise 1292 students who attend the second level of the nine primary schools which was indicated in the town center of Silifke and 1326 students who study in three secondary schools and 210(120 primary school and 90 secondary school)branch teachers who work in the town center. 814 of the students joined the survey and criterion in the second level of the primary school, 986 of the students who study in the secondary school participated and 1800 criterion and the survey were accepted valid. There are common articles in the survey which was directed to the teacher and the students. According to these articles, the views of the teachers and the students about cheating were compared. In the result of this comparison, it was determined that the students and the teacher accepted cheating as a negative behaviour.
