Contribution to primary education inspectors to teachers? professional growth

This research is carried out to determine contribution to primary education inspectors to teachers? professional growth, to reveal the teachers? expectations and to give some ideas about resolving sufficiencies about this matter.In this research, teachers? ideas and the scaning of literature about supervision is stated about behaviours and approaches of primary education inspectors during their inspection. Also before the survey it is searched that in which aspects teachers need the help of primary education inspectors and parallel to this the survey has been conducted. This survey is applied on three of counties in Istanbul including Bakırköy, Bahçelievler and Güngören.In the research scanning model is used. This survey is applied on 323 teachers from different branches and 18 primary school which is picked randomly in Bakırköy, Bahcelievler and Gungören. In the first part of the survey, there is an information form consists of six questions about participants (teachers) and in the second part consists of 30 question which is asked to determine ?contribution to primary education inspectors to teachers? professional growth?.?SPSS 18.0 (Statistical Package For Social Sciences) ? statistic programme is used to evaluate the data which is taken from survey applied on teachers. Frequency (f) , percantage (%), average (X) and standard deviation (SS) has been found statisticly for analyzing datas. T- test analysis has been made for sex and school variation. For degree variation Kruskal-Wallis H Test is made and also to determine whether there is any difference among group variation like age, branches and seniority or not, one sided variant analysis (ANOVA) is used. . For the datas which has been found, charts are made and they are also interpreted.This study consists of 6 parts. The first part is introduction, the second part is about theoretical information and literature scanning, the third part is the method of search, the fourth part is datas, the fifth one is results and debates and the last one is suggestions.
